Post-Credit Scenes

The Dark Knight Rises is a 2012 action film directed by Bravo Nolan, as part of his Batman reboot trilogy. The film is best-known for containing the Plane Scene, featuring characters Bane and CIA.

Expanded Universe

The Dark Knight Rises gave rise to the Baneposting Expanded/Extended Universe (BEU). The BEU contains media such as a novelization and comic version of the film, both of which adapt the Plane Scene. The BEU is generally accepted to be canon, adding a new layer to the Plane Scene; for example, CIA's line "This can't be happening! I'm in charge here" is well-known among fans, but was found in the novel and not the film.
